Dear Rick, Welcome to another attempt at automating the Intermediate Bike Training weekly email. The new capabilities will allow subscription and unsubscription without my manual intervention. Also, if you forward a newsletter to someone who you think might be interested they will be able to subscribe by clicking a link. This is all part of an ongoing effort to organize the best recreational cycling resources available. I want to assure you that any product, person, or service will be included only if it will help us directly meet our goals. And, the quality will be unquestionable. |

Weekend Rides Past and Future ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last Saturday's ride to Bennett was exhausting.
Winds were reported to be in the 20-30 mph gusting
into the 40s & 50s. Coming out of the NW it was
difficult to gain any advantage in the paceline so it
was a matter of gearing down, getting aero, and
toughing it out. Sunday's ride was brisk but warmed
to a comfortable temperature making for a nice
recovery ride.
Sat, Nov 19 - Mineral & Santa FE to Ken Caryl, Deer Creek, Chatfield and return for 33 miles. Sun, Nov 20 - Ken Caryl PNR Show & Go for 30-40 miles. Don't forget the FIXED GEAR rides out of Erie that started this month. |

Strength & Conditioning ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dan and I are now working out Mon & Wed evening,
5:30 pm, at the Littleton Family YMCA on the corner
of Broadway and Mineral. Please feel free to join us
as our guest.
Hope you are doing your Core Fitness, Advanced Core Fitness, or similar workouts each day. You may not have the time to get out and ride or go to the health club but you can do basic routines anywhere and anytime. Key is to do them SLOWLY and with perfect form for maximum benefit.

More Interesting Stuff... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Cycling Physiology seminar went well. Of
course, I went long because I could talk about the
subject all night. If anyone who attended has
questions, is totally confused, or forgot everything
by now please e-mail me. Next seminar will be
Cycling Nutrition from 7-9pm on Dec 6th.
The website is being modified to add the Training Specific ride schedule for next year and a library of interesting articles. E-mail if you want to schedule an assessment session on the CompuTrainer. Just refining your pedalling technique can improve your efficiency by 15-20%. |
