Greetings, Short and to the point this week. We are all just trying to survive this cold month. Indoor trainer, elliptical, treadmill, or outdoors whenever you can. If you are skiing try to work the bumps. Looks like good weather for weekend riding. Rick Russon
Saturday - RMCC ride out of Castle Rock at 10:45 Sunday - RMCC ride out of Northglenn PNR at 10:45 Sunday - Training Group ride out of Mineral & Santa Fe PNR at 1:00 pm.
Core Strength exercises daily. Weight Training level and tapering next month. Dan and I hooked up two CompuTrainers to the computer last weekend and rode the first part of the Elephant Rock. Pretty wild to be able to ride together in a virtual event. It was rather accurate. Effort is adjusted to take into account weight. Even the graphic of the heavier rider is bigger. Dan was slower on the hills but faster on the descents and flats as we expected. Makes indoor riding interesting even for me.
Nothing new in the area of food. You should be testing those sports drinks and gels to find the right taste and tolerance for your needs.
